Nutrition and Hydration for Healthcare Assistants
This session targetted at adult social care workers and healthcare assistants is designed to provide the knowledge and skills to effectively support individuals to maintain a healthy balanced diet. The course explores the components of a balanced diet and some of the benefits associated with each nutrient group. Delegates will examine some challenges to maintaining good nutrition and discuss practical ways to overcome barriers to eating and drinking. The course explains the use of MUST screening, fluid intake calculations and record keeping.
