Dysphagia with Appropriate Diet and Fluid Thickening
This practical focussed session looks at the background anatomy and physiology of swallowing and an overview of SLT assessments followed by a detailed look at the IDDSI framework and how diet and fluid consistencies are achieved. The course discusses complications including choking and aspiration and the responses to each.
