Pressure Ulcer Prevention & Care for Healthcare Assistants

This course is targetted at adult social care workers and offers and understanding of how pressure ulcers develop and are graded depending on their severity. Delegates will discuss strategies to reduce the risk of pressure ulcers and prevent them, including the use of the Braden risk assessment tool. The course offers practical advice on patient positioning and the correct use of pressure relieving devices as well as holistic preventive measures.
