Epilepsies, Seizure Management with Administration of Rescue Medications

Delegates will be provided with a basic overview of the epilepsies and the main types of seizure, relevant guidance and legislation will be discussed followed by an overview of treatments for epilepsies and use of seizure management plans. The group will practice the responses to tonic-clonic seizures using the ACTION acronym and further cover theory and practical in the administration of Buccal Midazolam and optional cover of Rectal Diazepam administration to prevent or halt status epilepticus.
