Prevention and Management of Falls
this session aims to focus delegates on reducing on of the biggest issues in health & social care by examining ways to prevent and reduce the impact of falls through falls risk assessments, care planning and interventions. The course covers intrinsic & extrinsic factors that increase falls risk and looks at practical steps that should be taken to reduce risk. The course also discusses appropriate responses to fall incidents including a brief overview of the ABCDE approach applied to fall casualties and the critical importance of decision making around moving the fallen patient.
